Orientation Courses

Intensive German courses as part of the Freshers’ Week

As part of the Freshers’ Week, we offer intensive German courses that meet the incoming exchange students at their level of German and provide them with a deep insight into the German language within a short time.

For our courses, we use the “Panorama” textbooks by Cornelsen Verlag, which you can view in our library.

We ask all participants to take a placement test before the course starts and send us a screenshot of their results at sprachenzentrum@hsbi.de.

The test can be found on this website under “Einstufungstests und digitale Angebote.”

Depending on your knowledge level, please select the placement test for

• A1 if you have very little knowledge of German,
• A2 if you have some experience,
• B1 if you are an advanced learner.

Start the test.

Test duration: approx. 30–35 minutes

• Please go straight through the test, no jumping back please! Please do not use your browser’s forwards and backwards buttons during the placement test!
• At the end of the test, the result will be displayed on the screen.
• Please take a screenshot and send it to sprachenzentrum@hsbi.de.

• We will send you an e-mail letting you know which course you will be in.
