This session will build upon previous seminars and explore in detail core professional values among the differing roles and professions that prevail in child and adolescence development practice. It will be an interactive session based around the use of case vignettes to illustrate practice dilemmas and consider the importance of integrated professional practice and multi-disciplinary and muti-agency work.

Michael Grant has worked in social care since 1985, qualifying as a social worker in 1991. Holding numerous roles in generic, and specialist hospital and community settings, his practice experience includes working with people with mental health issues, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and older people.  He has been a lecturer in social work for fifteen years. He is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Bradford and the Admissions Tutor and Director of work placements and internships for the School of Social Sciences. His interests include Mental Health, Risk Assessment and Risk Management, International Social Work and Value Based Practice.
